Vote for No One

They ignored when I said

Your government is lying

They ignored when I said

Innocent people are dying

They laughed when I said

You are far from free

They laughed when I said

CEO’s run the country

They ignored when I said

You’ve been mislead

They ignored when I said

You’re already dead

They laughed when I said

Marx was right

They laughed when I said

Unite and fight

They ignored when I said

We need a revolution

I laughed when they said

Vote in The Solution

ah, julie. your frustration is very palpable here, and the short, sing-song rhymes of these lines strike an eerie note. indeed, we are at an eerie juncture in our history, and your voice here echoes with every disillusioned idealist, every revolutionary through the ages. this is the voice of the prophet, what wm blake called “the lone voice crying out in the wilderness,” speaking the urgent message of “now!” if it interests you, you might want to look further into prophetic poetry (prophecy and politics going hand in hand for ages), and particularly a book by angus fletcher called _the prophetic moment_.

    nice work!

I will definitely look into prophetic poetry and The Prophetic Moment. Thanks for the advice!
